Main Duties and responsibilities
(S)he is responsible for helping the PSS activities targeting children conducted in Damascus under the AICS-funded project, and support the staff, particularly the PSS focal point, in the programme implementation
Overall responsibility:
• Overview and participate in the PSS activities for children in Damascus under the AICS-funded project for a period of 14 months: support the implementation of a training for teachers, act as a focal point for teachers during the entire period of the project, facilitating PSS sessions.
• Support the programme staff, particularly the PSS focal point, in the programme implementation.
Assignments and functions:
AICS minorities project
• Overview the PSS activities for children in Damascus.
• Support the organization and implementation of PSA training for teachers.
• Facilitate PSS sessions targeting children aged 6-12.
• Act as a focal point for the teachers engaged in the AICS-funded project in Damascus.
• Provide, collect and verify monitoring tools, ensuring efficiency and transparency.
• Submit activity reports and provide regular feedback on the ongoing interventions.
AVSI Protection Programme
• Support the implementation of PSS and GBV intervention under the overall AVSI programme.
• Support the PSS focal point during field visits.
• Participate in coordination meetings to create activity plans and follow up schedules.
• Support the PSS focal point in the reporting phase.
• Deal with different departments (MEAL, Finance) to smooth the monitoring and evaluation phases of projects, as well as the production of internal documents.
• Participate in cluster meetings (Protection, CP, GBV).

- 2-3 years of experience working in protection interventions.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications and data-entry software.
- Ability to conduct training is an advantage.
